Only the Authensus Treasury Wallet can currently upload content, but anyone is free to suggest content for upload. Our team will screen the content according to our content policy, and if it passes, we will upload the content to be engaged with in the marketplace.

Authensus guarantees no arbitrary screening of content beyond the strict stipulations of our content policy.

Content may be uploaded only as metadata without direct links to the original file if the content is sensitive but does not warrant full screening.

Content uploaded onto the Authensus platform is turned into a Solana NFT. The uploaded file can optionally be saved to permanent storage on a blockchain, but its metadata is always stored permanently as identifying information for the NFT.

In the market for a given pice of media, users can interact with the uploaded content through external links. From engaging with the content users are able to place wagers on the available facets of the content's authenticity, in the form of parimutuel markets. Wagers are placed in SOL, the native token of the Solana blockchain.

There is a set of core authenticity traits inherent to all media uploaded, as well as several traits applicable only to certain types of media, such as whether a video is a DeepFake.

The outcome of the markets is determined by a round of voting, which comes after the close of the betting round (usually 7 days after the market is started). If you placed your bet correctly, you'll receive back your initial bet amount in SOL, plus some proportion of the winnings from the other side of the wager, paid out in Voting Tokens. You can use Voting Tokens to cast votes in other markets and potentially redeem the tokens for more SOL!

Authensus markets feature set of four core authenticity facets, inherent to all online content:

  • Authority - is the communicator of high or low legitimacy?
  • Sincerity - is the content presented genuinely or performatively?
  • Transparency - is the information presented openly or obstructively?
  • Engagement - is there a high degree of interactivity or a low degree?

Further to this, other, more format-specific facets are available:

  • Anthropogenic - is this made by a human or by software?
  • Truthfulness - are claims about facts or events true?
  • Originality - is this original content, or derivative?

The optional facets to be included in the marketplace are requested by the user making the initial upload request.

If you have been able to secure some Voting Tokens, you can use them to cast votes on other markets, after the close of the wager period (usually 7 days from the start). The voting period is open for the following 2 days. If by the end of the voting period you have cast a vote with the consensus, then the tokens you used are redeemed for SOL!

Only one vote is allowed per person per market, but you can redeem as few or as many Voting Tokens as you like in your vote, from as low as 0.01 up to 100. The exchange ratio between Voting Tokens and SOL is always 1:1.

You cannot vote in a market in which you have an active bet.

The voting round determines the winners, as well as the consensus around authenticity. Once the voting is over, the winners of the wagers receive back their bets and their proportion of winnings, and the winning voters are reimbursed with SOL.

The results of the vote determine the consensus for that facet of the uploaded content for that round, but that's not the end of it!

Betting can always be started again on any market, and that will be followed again by another voting period. Since the truth is determined over time, Authensus does not call an absolute end to its markets, but allows them to recur periodically, in case more information comes to light, or there is simply continued interest. It is up to you whether it's still interesting!

In this case, there are no winners. The bettors all receive back their wagers, and the voters receive back their voting tokens. The outcome of the facet of authenticity is inconclusive for that round.

Since Voting Tokens are awarded to winners of betting periods, and there can only be winners if there are votes cast on those same markets, there needs to be some initial influx of Voting Tokens through another method. For that reason, a Voting Token Vendor is open for an interim period at the launch of the Authensus app.

Using the Voting Token Vendor, users can buy Voting Tokens directly with SOL at a 1:1 conversion.

Yes and no. Cryptocurrency has a value, and can be bought and sold for fiat currency like USD. For the sake of the Beta release however, Authensus only operates on the Solana Development Network, which does not use real SOL.

SOL can be airdropped for free into your account on the Development Network, and with that you can explore Authensus.

The catch is that since you're not using real money, you don't earn real money - yet...

For the Beta release we want to stress test the app and collect as much feedback as possible. It is undergoing constant improvement, so we are looking for any and all criticism! Please let us know your thoughts or suggestions through the Feedback section.

Before the release of our Beta, you can sign up to be an early adopter. By doing so, you'll be among the first to know about major development milesontes and release dates.

Once the Beta version is released, all you will need is a Solana wallet extension in your browser (like Phantom or Backpack), and you're good to go.
